Saying Goodbye

I didn’t think I’d cry.

I was wrong.

I just got the call about twenty minutes ago that my grandmother passed away. She may have been my step-grandmother and she may not have come into my life until I was fourteen years old, but I loved her just the same.

I’ll miss you, Donna.

  1. I am so sorry Courtney. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is hard to lose anyone, especially someone you are very close to. And blood does not solely make a family member.

  2. So very sorry to hear this news. Take a moment and remember some of the good times, without even knowing her I am quite sure that is what she would want.

  3. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I’ve been wallowing in my own moodiness and haven’t been reading blogs much lately, so I’m a little late, I know. My grandmother was a wonderful person, and I miss her terribly.
